The artworks are a part of “A Present Retrospective”, an exhibition showcasing archival prints of propaganda artworks created between 1969 and 1972, by the late and widely renowned Cuban graphic artist René Mederos, at Work Room Four (Hanoi), alongside works by five other established contemporary Vietnamese artists in response to the series.

Utilizing Mederos' human forms, which consistently is the centerstage subjects of the artworks, a unique typeface was created and applied into the series of posters that draws inspiration from Hanoian propaganda messages.
